The Catholic Biblical Instructors’ Union (CBIU) is one of the pious Biblical movements in the Catholic Church, that prays, reads and preaches the word of God with the aid of the Bible, according to the church’s directives, for personal and collective holiness and sanctification in preparation for eternal life.

It was founded by Late Rev. Fr. Benedict I. Nwolu through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in September 18, 1974. The primary aim of the Union include;

•  To bring back, with the aid of the Holy Bible, the lost sheep of the Catholic Church;
•  To correct the false impression that Catholics are not allowed to study or read the Bible;
•  To train her members and non-members alike, to be obedient, truthful, humble, honest, and convinced Christians of Catholic Church;
• To penetrate and establish the Catholic Church where the church does not exist, or has no stronghold, and to serve as emergency Catechist.
  The Union has gained national recognition by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (C.B.C.N), as one of the approved Biblical Apostolate for evangelization and edification of Catholic faithful. To God b the Glory, the Union has spread beyond Nigeria (Burkina Faso and Gabon),

The Union started in this Parish on 6th August 1995. The Union was recently launched by the National Council on 8th August 2021, thus becoming the third branch of the Union to be launched in the Archdiocese of Lagos.
