• Our name of combination of two group viz.
  i. Apostleship of prayer: was established on Dec 3 1844 by Fr. Francis
  Xavier Guatrelete, S.J the Spiritual Director of Jesuit formation house in
  Vals France
  ii. League of the Sacred of Jesus: was founded in 1883 by Fr. Edward
  Harmon S.J. Both groups merged to form Apostleship of Prayer League of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Dec. 31st 1884. levels. The teams focused on resolving issues related to higher-than-normal back-orders and lead times, which stressed the entire supply chain and led to delays in medications reaching consumers.

• Establishment in Nigeria: Rev Fr John Selwyn, S.M.A established our
  Apostolate as the first Sacred Society in Nigeria at Holy Cross Cathedral,
  Lagos in 1922, from there it spread to other parts of the country. Bishop
  Ayinde Fasina of Ijebu Ode Diocese affirmed being a member of
  Apostleship of Prayer League of Sacred Heart of Jesus at Regina Mundi
  Parish, Mushin, Lagos in1964 up till when they broke away and form
  another Sacred Heart group and took over in 1967. Unknown to many,
  another Sacred Heart group that seems to look more popular than the Apostleship of Prayer League of Sacred Heart of Jesus in this part of the world.

  However there are innumerable associations in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which Apostleship Prayer League of Sacred Heart of Jesus is mother to all.

  Just as the Catholic Church is mother of other churches.

1. The primary objective of the Apostleship of Prayer League of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is to offer a prayer of reparation for our sins and the sins of the whole world.
2. To spread the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our heart, mind, families in our daily lives and the world at large.
3. To Promote devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – particularly on the
First Saturday Reparation to her Immaculate Heart and celebration of her feast to pray the whole Rosary or at least one decade of it each day.
4. Thinking with the Pope, the Vicar of Christ for whose monthly intentions we are to prayer everyday
5. Careful attention to prayer: – personal, family and community in front of the
sacred Heart Altar.

Requested for Holy Hour of Reparation though Margaret Mary
Alacoque (Every Thursday and First Friday of Every month)
3. Personal Consecration to Immaculate Heart of Mary and
Sacred Heart of Jesus.
4. Enhancement are family dedication.
5. First Saturday Devotion in honour of the Immaculate Heart
of Mary. A minimum of one decade or full Rosary everyday
6. Praying with the church as we prayerfully read and pray the
Pope’s monthly intention everyday.
